Kenyanstar of the week; Simon Mwangi

He is an example of a self driven and God motivated player, one of a kind you can say. Kenyanstar takes a walk down the life of Simon Mwangi, lead striker of the Kimathi University College hockey team, also known as “The titans”. The team is currently battling for top honors in the National division one league with an ambition of setting foot on the bigger platter: the national league. He talks of his life, his playing career, his dreams and ambitions.

The future is Orange and there is no other way to go! That is what Brian Wekesa seemed to be saying as he received his two awards one for the Best player of the tournament and another for the top scorer in the recently concluded Orange Mabingwa under 13 tournament.

Kenya seems to be discovering new talent every day. With other countries trying to get at least a bronze medal in the 3000 meters steeplechase, new stars are on the arena. The country failed to pick a single medal in the steeplechase race in Maputo Zambia and this is causing a stir in the athletics industry.With the Ethiopians out to redeem their pride after a disastrous outing at the world athletics championships in Daegu south Korea, some feel that it is time for new blood to take reign at the master events.
