Just married; Ochollah and Kisero It was yet another day of footballing marriages on Wednesday morning when ex-Ulinzi Stars captain Stephen Ochollah tied the knot with his long time girlfriend Carolyne Kisero, former Secretary General of the all-girl Gor Mahia fan group, K’ogirlo Divas. The private ceremony attended by close family and friends was conducted at the Attorney General’s Chambers in Nairobi, with the reception held at a Nairobi hotel. “I am very happy for this day because I have started the year well by fulfilling one of my new year’s resolutions. It is a great feeling for me”, said the soft spoken soldier while speaking to Kenyanstar.
“I do not even know what to say. It is such a big day for me, because I have finally been united in marriage with the man of my dreams. It is such an exciting feeling for me though I was quite nervous at the beginning since I did not know much of what to expect from the day”, an excited Kisero told Kenyanstar. The two met two years ago, both when on the line of duty; not in the field however.
“I met Carol 2 years ago at a certain AAR function I had attended. She is an employee of AAR. We became friends, and yes, I liked her from that first time. We have become closer and closer friends from then on and the friendship has finally culminated into this beautiful day”. The two engaged two months ago; yes at the Nyayo National Stadium. It was before Ulinzi Stars played AFC Leopards and as they watched the first match between Chemelil and Sofapaka, Ochollah popped the big question to which Kisero overwhelmingly said yes to. “She is a great lady and I did not even think twice on whether to marry her or not. She is the kind of lady any man would want to have. I feel blessed. And her family; great!”, adds Ochollah.
The two are presented with their marriage certificate as their witnesses look on The two are set to do a formal church wedding later on in the year. “We decided to start first with the Attorney General so that we can set our paper works correct and to straighten things. We plan on having a Church wedding later on on a date that we are yet to decide”, said Ochollah. The witnesses for the wedding were FK Senior Vice Chair Sammy Sholei who happens to be Kisero’s in-law, his wife Pamella Sholei and Ochollah’s long time boss at the DoD Major Peter Emathe.
The bride and the groom with their guests who included FK VC Sammy Shollei Asked whether she will change her loyalty from K’ogalo to Ulinzi; “No, I am still a K’ogalo fan. On 12th of February I will be in Thika, he will be at City Stadium”, joked an excited Kisero. {flike}{fsend} {fcomment} |
