With the two teams being in different ends of the table, there undoubtedly is a big divide between them. A divide that could lead to a prejudgment of what the match's out come is likely to be. Also a divide that makes the match day 22 fixture a big test of character for teams who in recent matches have both proved unforgiving and ruthless hence setting up a mouth watering clash.
GOR-MAHIA
In their last three games, Gor got a draw against mathare united and two wins against Ulinzi and Western stima. In the entire league they have won 10 times lost 4 times and drawn 7 times.
Since the beginning of the second leg round of matches Gor has show cased a perfectly packaged outfit with a no non-sense defense marshaled by Erick Masika and Kenya international Julius Owino, a creative midfield with Kevin Omondi always being in the thick of the things and a highly paced striking force often featuring Kenya's George 'Blackberry' Odhiambo.
While Gor's key to winning the match will be in the pace of it's strikers.
RED-BERETS
Red berets go into the match heads high having drawn twice against western stima and against Tusker and won against Chemilil sugar in their last three outings. In the entire league, Berets have won 5 matches, drawn 6 and lost 10.
The berets strongest point in the recent past has been Goal keeper Wycliffe Kisuya. Kisuya has been outstanding and has maintained a clean sheet in the last three outings and that explains why he recently received the national team calling. Beret's fans will also hope that their striking pair of Joseph Asuza and Kevin Omondi retain the form that saw their team hit 4 past Chemilil in their last weekend's premier league match.
PLAYERS
Erick Masaka as has become tradition will be key to the Gor defense. The towering defender has impressed in the second leg fixtures and this should not be any different if his team is to keep moving towards the title. Kevin Omondi has been behind most moves that have resulted in Gor-mahias goals. The kenya international though not scoring himself, is a good dribbler and holds the ball just long enough for his team mates to move into striking positions. George 'Blackberry' Odhiambo has become a fans darling and many a times he doesn't dissapoint. Gor mahia's attacking football is hugely dependent on the pace of this boy with a magic foot. Baldwin Ngwa has scored a goal in every of the last three games he has played and the Cameroonian import maintaining that form means K'ogalo are assured of at least a goal
